1.2 WORKING IN AUSTRALIA

To be eligible to work in Australia you will need to pass a points test, this measures your skills,
qualifications and experience in your occupation. Other factors that contribute to the points test incude
age and ability in English. The ability to join a professional body or industry organisation as well as
registration with a Government body is also a requirement as to the "proof" of being recognised in that
particular field of work. Sponsorship of family members living permanantly in Australia can also assist in
the points requirements.

Business experience / abilities can also be another method of obtaining a Visa. Based on previous
history and ability to invest financially into a business may provide the necessary reqiurements.
